Moose Hunts

Hunting Yukon-Alaska moose with Last Frontier isn’t just a trophy pursuit. It’s a full-throttle immersion into the most remote and rugged terrain in British Columbia. Our guided hunts put you in prime territory during peak rut, where calling in a 60-inch bull isn’t just possible, it’s expected. If you’re serious about chasing giants, this is the place.

Mountain goat hunts

British Columbia holds over half the world’s mountain goat population, with the highest density in the remote northwest corner of the province. These hunts take place in steep, unforgiving terrain where goats thrive, and where few hunters venture. Average horn length in the Tatshenshini region is around 9 inches. Goats inhabit similar country to sheep, but in greater numbers, making this a more affordable alternative, or the perfect add-on to a sheep hunt. We offer goat hunts from August through mid-October, accessed by horseback or on foot depending on conditions.

black bear Hunts

B.C. is true bear country, home to one of the highest black bear populations in North America, estimated at over 150,000 animals. These omnivores become active in April, and we begin our spring spot-and-stalk riverboat hunts in early May. This region offers a high-density bear population and excellent visibility, making for a less physically demanding hunt with a strong success rate. Most bears harvested measure between 6 and 6.5 feet. Hunts are run 2-on-1 and are ideal for couples or families looking for a genuine mountain experience without extreme terrain.

dall sheep Hunts

Our Dall sheep average 36–37 inches with heavy horns and an average age of 10 years, mature rams taken in rugged country. These hunts are physically demanding and often require the full 14-day window. Sheep country ranges from 5,000 to 7,000 feet, and while hunts are primarily horseback-supported, expect serious hiking and potential backpacking. Full backpack hunts can also be arranged. Peak fitness is required.
