Hunting Yukon-Alaska moose in northern British Columbia is an unforgettable adventure. These bulls can top 60 inches wide and respond aggressively during the rut. We target prime habitat by horseback and jet boat, calling bulls into close range through thick willow and timber. It’s a hunt that demands patience, sharp glassing, and readiness for adrenaline-packed moments. Most bulls taken range from 50 to 60 inches. Hunts run from early September through early October, peak time in wild, remote country.

If you’re after a true wilderness moose hunt, this is it.
How long is the moose hunt, and what does it include?
Our moose hunts are 10-day guided trips that include all meals, transfers to and from camp, and your guide and wrangler. All license fees and any required air or boat transport to spike camps are also included in the hunt package.
What is a typical moose hunting day like?
You’ll wake around 5–6 am, eat a hot breakfast, then ride out with your guide before 9 am. Most of the day is spent glassing from vantage points, calling, and covering ground by horseback or foot. You’ll return to camp around dark for a hearty home-cooked meal.
How do we access hunting areas?
Moose hunts use a combination of horseback, jet boat, and aircraft to reach spike camps in prime moose habitat. All spike camps have wall tents or cabins with wood stoves and are situated in proven hunting locations.
Can I bring home my meat and antlers?
Yes. You’re welcome to take all your meat and trophies home. If you’re driving, we’ll help load them for transport. If flying, we can assist with prepping your trophies or arrange shipping through Dakota Taxidermy, which handles border paperwork and delivery.
Once your hunt is booked, we’ll guide you through every step, what to pack, how to train, and how to get here. Most hunters fly into Whitehorse, Yukon, where we’ll arrange transport to base camp. From there, we use horses, riverboats, and bush planes to access our remote hunting areas. You’ll receive a detailed gear list and travel plan well in advance. Physical preparation is key, expect long days, varied terrain, and unpredictable weather. We recommend arriving well-conditioned and ready to hunt hard from day one. If you have specific questions or need help with logistics, our team is here to make it easy.
